Deal talks between 888 and Ladbrokes

The famous bookmaker Ladbrokes has begun a negotiation with 888.com management about a possible takeover. After the announcement of £470 million offer, 888 Holdings shares had jumped 10 pence to 120.5p at the London Stock Exchange.

A confirmation of this deal came from 888 that after the new US law have to switch their focus from the US market to Europe and Asia. A previous report had linked a potential merger with rival online operator Partygaming.

Experts have predicted there will be a consolidation in the sector following the new legislation changes which will make it impossible for Party Gaming and other British online gaming operators to collect new clients and revenues in the United States.
