William Hill and Ritz Club stop operations in USA

Online gambling in USA is getting more and more dangerous for casino operators. While the industry is waiting for a final response by the U.S government, many online casinos are stopping their activities in the USA. Two british operators, Ritz Club and William Hill, decided to stop taking bets from American players.

The Ritz Club London is a famous land-based gaming club in United Kingdom, and decided to take their website down displaying the following message: "In light of the current confusion and inconsistency in online gaming legislation worldwide, the owner of The Ritz Club London Online have, regretfully, decide to close the site to new customers with immediate effect".

William Hill already stopped sports betting for US players few weeks ago, and decided to act in the same way with online poker and casino bets. David Harding, William Hill's CEO, said that with all the things that have been happening lately, they decided to take a prudent decision.
