Gambling ban impact on Online Poker

In an article titled "Congress Deals Poker Fans a Hand They Can't Bet" on Las Vegas Sun newspaper the journalist reported that the loss of Internet qualified players could have a serious impact on the popularity of major land based poker tournaments.

The newspaper reveals that the half of the entrants in Harrah's latest World Series of Poker qualified from online gambling sites. Same for MGM Mirage, which hosts events for the World Poker Tour, one of the most famous poker tourney that attracts thousand of online bettors

Now that most of online casinos and online poker companies stopped their operations in USA, all land based tournaments will now attract fewer entrants.
