PokerStars still accepting US Players

After studying the new US anti-internet gambling legislation, the world's second largest online poker room, PokerStars.com announced that they will continue to accept American players. The company said that a ban on online gaming financial transactions would not apply to poker as it's game of skill, so they decided to continue the business as usual.

PokerStars said in a statement that "These provisions do not alter the U.S. legal situation with respect to online poker, and the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement act does not in any way prohibit you from playing online poker".

Business continues as before at PokerStars, their poker rooms will be open to all players worldwide including American citizens. The company believes that Poker is a game of skill more than a game of chances.
