PPA against online gambling ban

The Poker Players' Alliance leader Michael Bolcerek has launched a strong attack on politicians who try to push a repressive anti-gambling legislation through Congress. Bolcerek said that "Prohibitions don't work and the American people know this. That is why a majority oppose a ban on online poker. Poker and online casinos are played by millions of people worldwide, and nowadays the Internet is a part of our daily lives".

According to two possible compromises, a possible way would be to focus on a version of a bill already passed by the House, with the horse racing industry removed and the prohibition of most forms of Internet gambling: banks and credit card companies would stop to process payments to online gambling websites.
