VIDEO POKER Rules

Nowadays poker is probably the most widely played card game in the world. It's an easy and fun game to play and offers international recognized tournaments. With the advent of computers in the 1970's, Video Poker came on the scene. This game is a mix of skill and luck, and it has million of enthusiast around the world.

To Play at Video Poker, you just have to drop a coin and click on a button. The machine will deal five cards on the monitor, all face up. You can choose to keep the cards or change them, and the goal is to have the best hand possible.

Payouts are usually shown at the top of the machine. Payout table contains all the amounts that players can win and the poker cards ranking, which is as shown below:


RANKING:

Royal Flush
The highest ranking hand possible. All five cards are in sequence and in a common suit.
Example: A, K, Q, J, 10

Straight Flush
Five cards both in sequence and common suit, but not starting with an Ace.
Example: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6

Four of a Kind
Four cards of the same value.
Example: 7, 7, 7, 7, A

Full House
Three cards of same value and two cards of another same value.
Example: Q, Q, Q, 3, 3

Flush
Five cards of same suit.

Straight
Five cards in sequence.
Example: 5, 4, 3, 2, A

Three of a Kind
Three cards of same value.
Example: J, J, J, A, 8

Two Pair
Two groups of two cards of same value.
Example: 8, 8, K, K, 3

A pair, Jacks or better
Two cards (Jacks or better) of the same value
Example: 8, 4, J, J, A
