Las Vegas, one of the most exciting places in the country, is always alive and buzzing, whether it’s 4pm or 3am. There are many reasons for this, but the main one is the wonderful entertainment that is available in the area. The Strip, which is the main section of Vegas, is covered in casinos.
And these aren’t your typical casinos: they’re massive, ridiculously expensive, and designed specifically to attract high rollers.
Going to Vegas can be a completely unique experience, and a very enjoyable one at that. If you’re planning a trip to Vegas soon, you’re probably wondering what the best casinos are. So, I have constructed a list of the most famous land-based casinos in Las Vegas.
Caesars Palace, a Greek-themed casino right on the strip, is one of the most popular casinos in Vegas. With huge columns, fun colors, sparkling fountains and constant activity, the idea at Caesars Palace is to feel like you’re actually in Ancient Rome.
Caesars welcomes players of all levels and wants. There are hundreds of slots, starting at $0.05, and a huge selection of table games, as well as a smaller selection of high-stakes games.
If you’re someone who likes to be conservative and not over-indulge, then the Bellagio is probably not for you.
The Bellagio has been described as “an overindulgence magnified by 10”, and I tend to agree. As soon as you walk through the majestic doors of the casino, you’ll instantly be stunned by the magnitude of the luxury at the Bellagio.
The Bellagio is said to have some of the nicest luxury rooms in Vegas, though that’s certainly debatable. As far as gambling goes, the Bellagio is top-notch, with thousands of slots and video games, as well as a huge variety of low and high-stakes table games.
The MGM Grand
The MGM Grand is the largest casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Its iconic entrance is known by pretty much everyone who has been to Vegas before.
The door of the MGM Grand is guarded by two massive roaring lions. And that’s just the entrance! Once you get inside, you’ll wander through seas of slot machines (more than 3500 in total), and hundreds of table games.
The amenities are great, and the gaming is better, so if you want to have a great Las Vegas experience, the MGM Grand is a great choice.
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
Much of Las Vegas’ tourist traffic is actually people returning who have been to Vegas before. A large portion of these return tourists stay at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Mandalay Bay is built to resemble a beachside tropic resort, even though it’s in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. Mandalay Bay truly pushes the envelope of creativity and luxury, even for Las Vegas.
Its tables are more geared towards high rollers, but it has an excellent variety of low stakes table games and slots as well.
